We introduced some changes to the Wandoan Photo Challenge in 2020 and we asked you to think outside the box.
The first were the photo categories:
1: “Dogs, Dogs, Dogs” A key theme of the 2020 Wandoan Show is the local legend of Mick the Dog. This is the perfect opportunity to show off your favourite dog (or dogs!). Working, playing, sleeping, being clever, being stupid, or just plain cute.
2: “Small Town, Big Country” The subject choice for this one is entirely up to you. What we’re hoping for is unique, fresh takes on our region. People at work or play, landscapes, historical features, animals, birds, trees, flowers, close-ups, panoramas, cloudscapes, nightscapes . . . let your imagination run free, remember we are more than cows and horses.

The other big change is the Best Photographer Award. To be in the running for an additional haul of $500 all you needed to enter at least three photos (to give the judge enough variety to decide on overall ability).
The rules were simple. Any image taken within 100 km radius of Wandoan after 31 March 2019 is eligible. The competition was open to all photographers, amateur or professional, from anywhere.
